Why you feel stuck in life (And how to finally move forward)
Talk about “boxing yourself in!” Ahem… see what I did there?
You know that feeling where you want to change something in your life, but no matter how many times you try, you end up right back where you started? You make a plan, feel fired up for a while… then life gets busy, and it all fades away. Sound familiar?
You’re not alone. We’ve all been there… wanting something different, making a small (or big) change, and then somehow slipping right back into old patterns. And honestly? It’s not because you’re lazy or lack willpower. It’s because you don’t have the right structure and support.
Try this: A quick exercise to get unstuck
Before we go any further, let’s do a little experiment:
Grab a notebook or open a notes app.
Write down one thing in your life you feel stuck on right now.
Now, list three small actions you could take to move forward—even if they seem tiny.
Pick one and commit to doing it today.
Feels different when you actually see it written down, right? Small steps lead to big changes.
The last thing I'm doing is smiling while holding a plank. Grrrrrr.
Now, picture this: Your best friend tells you they’re struggling to stay on track. They’ve tried to make changes before, but life always seems to get in the way. This time, instead of just nodding along, you say, 'Let’s do this together.'
You check in with each other, celebrate small wins, and remind each other why you started in the first place. Suddenly, making progress doesn’t feel so lonely or so impossible.
That’s the power of support. When you’ve got someone in your corner, helping you stay focused and reminding you why you started, pushing through the hard stuff becomes so much easier. That’s why having a structured system with built-in accountability isn’t just helpful. It’s a game-changer.
Why you keep getting stuck
A few years ago, I was juggling way too many things: work, family, and personal goals, all while feeling like I was making zero progress in any of them. I’d set ambitious goals, get excited, and then... life would happen. By the time I had a moment to breathe, I’d lost all momentum.
If you feel like you’re spinning your wheels, it’s probably because of one (or more) of these common roadblocks:
No clear direction: You know you want something to change, but without a specific plan, it’s easy to get lost in the “Where do I even start?” phase.
Overwhelm from trying to do it all at once: You want to improve your career, health, relationships, and finances all at the same time. That’s a recipe for burnout.
No accountability: It’s easy to let things slide when you’re the only one keeping track. Life gets in the way, and suddenly, that goal you were so excited about fades into the background.
Fear of failing (again): If you’ve tried before and didn’t succeed, it’s tempting to think, Why even bother? The fear of another failed attempt can be enough to keep you stuck.
Sound familiar? The good news is, this isn’t a motivation problem. It’s a system problem.
The shift: What actually works
Making real progress doesn’t come from just “trying harder.” It happens when you have:
A clear structure to follow so you always know what to focus on next.
Small, doable steps because big life changes don’t happen overnight.
Support & accountability so you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
When you have a system that gives you guidance, structure, and support, suddenly, taking action doesn’t feel so overwhelming.
